something to follow

Ok, so I figured I would get my butt moving on actually writing something for once since there are some lovely ladies who are following me and are getting left in the cold. I also thought that it was about time I started writing again in general....since I went to school to be a writer....and 5 years later......I am finally writing (and putting over 100 grand in student loans to some use).

I'd be lying to you if I said that starting a blog was some great epiphany I had in the middle of the night during one of my brain writing rants.....it truly is thanks to those few lovely ladies who have blogs themselves that make me smile daily.

I am a little terrified that I am going to have these crazy spurts of 20 posts in a row during the many sleepless nights I encounter. Typically when these far too often encounters occur, I find myself sitting up for hours thinking out the wording to the great auto-biographical novel I have been planning to write for years, but will never get around to. I guess this will be my easy way out of the commitment to a 300+ page novel.

In case you are wondering why the hell I am calling my blog pickled gumdrops....just follow this recipe and you will see how crazy things happen:

1 slightly loopy gal
1 full time job
1 two year old
1 four month old
1 depressed border collie
1 husband
0 nights of full sleep

Add a dash of love and mix all ingredients together.
Results: shoes on the wrong feet, getting into the shower with your undies on, going an entire day with a line of baby puke down the back of your shirt, and a number of other "lose your head if it wasn't attached" incidents.

So sit back, grab a cup of joe, and be prepared for the journey through my life as a full time working mother.
